Pradan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana – PMMVY Maternity Benefit program offered by the Government of India where a reward of 5,000 money is given to pregnant and breastfeeding women. The first child living in the family is encouraged to experience the special health of mother and child!



Objectives of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

The government-led program aims to achieve the following objectives:

How To Apply Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana



The user can apply for this plan within 730 days from the date of the travel companion (MP). LMP is registered on the MCP card under a scheme called date of birth.

The application form can be obtained from the AWC/approved health facility free of cost or be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Women and Child Development.



Out-of-school education still affects the majority of women in India. In India, one in three women suffers from a malnutrition disorder and one in two women suffers from an illness. A diet mother gives birth to a small baby almost every day. Frustration When it enters the uterus, it cycles through its life cycle as the changes are often irreversible. Due to economic and social hardship, many women continue to work for their families until the last days of pregnancy. In addition, they return to work soon after giving birth, although their bodies will not allow them to do so, which prevents their body from fully recovering. On the other hand, and during the first six months, their baby becomes an obstacle to their ability to have a baby.
Pandit Mantra Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is a maternity benefit program implemented in all regions of the country in accordance with the provisions of the National Food Security Law of 2013.
Benefits under PMMVY: Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

Cash incentive of Rs 5,000 in three installments, i.e. first installment of Rs 1,000 / – upon early pregnancy registration at the Anganwadi Center (AWC) / approved health facility as identified by state administration / Respective UT, second installment of Rs 2000 / – after six months of pregnancy after receiving at least one antenatal check (ANC) and a third payment of Rs 2000 / – after delivery has been registered and the baby has received the first cycle of BCG, OPV, DPT and hepatitis – B, or its equivalent / substitute.


Eligible beneficiaries would receive the incentive granted by Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) for institutional childbirth and the incentive received by the JSY would be counted towards maternity benefits so that on average a woman receives Rs 6000.
