Mid day mess scheme was introduced in yeses 1984 in Gujarat. during this scheme the share of central government is of 75 and therefore the share of state is of 25. it involves provision for free of charge of charge lunch on working days for kiddies in primary & upper primary classes in government backed, original body academy. 


 Again In July 2006 this scheme was revised to give chef backing at cost of (a) Rs 1.80 per child/ academy day for States within the North Eastern Region, handover to the NER States collect Rs 0.20 per child/academy day, and (b) Rs 1.50 per child/ academy day to help children of other States and UTs. 

Gujarat was the alternate state within the country to retain started Mid Day Meal scheme: 

 Gujarat was the alternate state within the country to retain started Mid Day Meal scheme in 1984. It involves provision of hot cooked mess freed from cost to academy- children on all working days. It aims at adding registration rate, reducing powerhouse rate and reducing burden of poverty on poor parents and estate demarcation within the society. 

Mid Day Mess-MDM Gujarat :

 Their was 3 main Reason for MDM are as under :

  • Child nutrition, 
  • Educational advancement and 
  • Social equity. 
 In addition, the Mid-Day Meal Scheme is viewed as a chance to inculcate hygiene and sanitation practices among children. 

National Program of Nutritional :
Support to Primary Education (NP-NSPE) was launched as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme on 15 Aug, 1995 with intent to extend registration, retention and attendance of faculty going children. This was launched originally in 2408 blocks within the country, by the time 1997-98 the NP-NSPE was introduced altogether blocks of the country.

Moment, the NP-NSPE is that the world’s largest academy mess program covering around 12 Crore children in over 9.50 Lakhs seminaries across India. The program involves donation from Central and government.
