School and educational psychology, if you think about it, seem to make no difference.  Since school and education are two synonymous words, we cannot help but wonder what the two subtypes of psychology are.

Psychology is the study of behavior. School psychology and academic psychology are both areas under psychology.  So what are the differences?  Educational psychology deals with the psychology of educating human beings, how educational teaching and materials affect human beings, evaluating teaching methods and the effectiveness of these teaching materials and school organization.  School psychology, on the other hand, treats children and adolescents for learning dilemmas.  They are responsible for diagnosing such conditions.

The history of educational psychology dates back to a thousand years ago, when educational philosophers began to criticize the method of learning in others.  These philosophers are Komenius, Weaves, Quintilian, and Democritus, while school psychology originated in the 17th and 21st centuries.  His curiosity on the study of childhood education and behavioral problems led to this type of psychology.  The key figures behind school psychology are: Lightner Witter, Granville Stanley Hall, and Arnold Gazelle.

In educational psychology, search methods are used to correlate findings and solve problems.  They use either quantitative or qualitative methods.  Quantitative methods, calculations and numbers are commonly employed in the collected data.  In the qualitative method, “this” and “it is more in the use of the word by the description of the people.” In school psychology, they generally apply the principles of educational and medical psychology to carry out their duties and responsibilities.

A degree in educational psychology is required for an educational psychologist (with an average income of 58 58,000).  On the other side of the question, a person can get a bachelor’s degree in psychology for a school psychologist (average income of 58 58,000 with a 6-month contract) and then take a master’s and a PhD.  Not all psychologists at school work in schools, some work in universities, clinics, forensic hubs, hospitals, etc., while some work as independent contractors.

 Summary:

 1. Educational psychology mainly involves the diagnosis and treatment of specific childhood behavioral, developmental, and learning problems in school psychology when evaluating teaching methods, educational materials, their impact on children and adolescents.
