I personally prefer the easy fund transfer option on the go, especially with my son away in college in a different city. This usually takes several hours to a couple of days sometimes, with traditional banking. There is a single payment interface that lets you send and receive money without revealing your bank info.
With the app, you can also track your banking transactions on the go, in a single place, recharge your mobile and DTH and also use the scan pay or mobilePay option to shop offline. Another facility is regenerating debit and credit card PINs. The app also lets you manage investments, buy/redeem mutual funds, manage term deposits, etc., although I am yet to use that.
Apart from that, the bank wrote in a post on social media that ‘Hariyali’ is not only the earth but also your password is secure. The green color shows in a way how secure your password is.
Bank of Baroda has launched banking services on WhatsApp. Now you can get all the information related to banking in your WhatsApp chat box. For this you have to send a message to the number provided by the bank. You have to text ‘Hi’ from your registered mobile number to the number declared 8433 888 777 from the bank. You will then be able to use the banking facility through WhatsApp.
